Platoon Support Program

UAW Local 5286 Veteran's Committee & Freightliner/Gastonia are adopting a platoon for their tour in Iraq.

Freightliner will provide the collection points, cartons for packaging, and postage.

We will be collecting travel size personal hygiene items for the solders and additional items as they request them.

Baby power, tooth brushes, toothpaste, Q-tips, hygienic wipes, baby wipes, SPF30 sun block, sugar wafers, disposable twin blade razors and shaving cream, non-melting goodies, cash and other items will be collected.

These items should be personal size or travel size for distribution to individuals. Remember size counts when you have to carry it!!! 

Lets all make their tour a little more bearable as they defend us.

 This is a plant wide project.

Volunteers are needed to collect and package items. Cash donations will be used to buy additional items so everyone in the platoon gets the same thing.
